maes gwynn
maes gwynn
two days in maes gwynn, subhuti’s cottage in wales, on the edge of snowdonia. a useful chance to talk through the changing role of madhyamaloka. trying to give some definition to what could develop there without nailing it down prematurely: referring back to the project of a couple of years ago, ‘broadening the movement and deepening the order’; subhuti suggesting that the dharmadhuta course was the first time we had brought together ‘scholars, teachers and activists’ in the same project, and beginning to block out the potential of that.
spent a day walking up arenig, starting in the promise of sunshine, and arriving at the top with strong winds blowing horizontal snow at abrasive speed.
